Christian is what some might call, an Army Brat; at least that is the term we used for military children when I was young. While his well-accomplished father is not a member of the Army, he is a lieutenant in the naval forces of this great country. He moved up through the ranks as an enlisted man and was able to become an officer, which is not always done. Absolutely an accomplishment to be proud of. Lieutenant Norman's hard work has become a part of Christian's work ethic in his educational and athletic pursuits, which has lead to Christian being recognized this month. Christian also has a sibling who proudly services as one of our women in uniform.
As a Military Brat, Christian has lived in Virginia, New Orleans, Florida, California, and Hawai. At each base shaping him into the young man that he has become. We know that it is customary to thank our soldiers for their service, but they do not serve alone, this month we thank Christian for his service as well.
The Normans are a high achieving family. Christian's mom, Doris was named the Queen of the CAMAN Ball. CAMAN standing for a joining of the Coast Guard, Air-Force, Marines, Army, and Navy in recognizing the outstanding service of a military wife. Christian's mom Doris is the first woman of color to be so recognized; an action that has not been repeated since in the Ball's forty-year history.

Jaila Marie McCoy is a talented young lady who has been helping G-Square Publishing since she was 6-years-old in offering “Youth Reviews” for all of our Children’s Books.
In May of this year, we announced the first Children’s Book, which Jaila co-authored with her uncle Vinny Green, it is entitled; “My Hat.”
At 12-years-old Jaila is taking college courses, learning to play the flute, and standing as a role model for other children her age.
G-Square Publishing will be making a $50 donation in Jaila’s name to the IMMERSE youth program in Elizabeth City, North Carolina.
We salute Jaila and her awesome parents on a job well done.
